VMA Recap

Ok, a lot of things went down at last night's VMAs. From Lady Gaga's insane outfits to the crowd-silencing humor of Russell Brand. However, the two most notable antics had to go out to Kanye West and Lil' Mama. For those who missed it, don't have twitter or have absolutely no friends that are into pop culture, Kanye West burst on the stage after Taylor Swift was awarded Best Female Video. Stinkin of Hennessy, Yeezy grabbed the mic from T-Swift and declared that Beyonce should have won best video. In a matter of 10 seconds, Kanye went from the Louis Vuitton Don to the Louis Vuitton Douche. Check out the celeb tweets:

But the biggest tongue lashing comes from an unlikely source... Check it:

It’s absolutely fascinating how much I don’t like you. I like everyone. I even like my asshole ex that cheated on me over you... which is pretty odd since I don’t even personally know you.

Now, to the other goon of the night, Lil' Mama. During Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' memorable closing performance, Lil' Mama took it upon herself to join the fun. Her b-boy pose at the end with Hov and A.Keys had to be one of the most awkward things in life - even I felt embarrassed watching it. Fabolous made a #lilmamais tag on Twitter it instantly became the most tweeted topic:

Jay-Z Feat. Rihanna & Kanye West - Run This Town

So who gon' run this town tonight? Apparently, JIGGA! Yesterday, Jay-Z released his first official single (DOA was his street single) off the highly anticipated album, The Blueprint 3 (scheduled to drop Sept. 11) called 'Run This Town' featuring Rihanna and Kanye West. Now, I'm not hatin', but it was okay - average actually. With all the hype around it, I thought we were going to get another 'Swagger Like Us' joint. Don't get me wrong, the beat is sick but Jay-Z isn't as lyrically strong on this one, which gave Yeezy a chance to steal it with the final verse. Pump the speakers and listen for yourself...
