Drake hits the cover of Fader Magazine

Torontonians rejoice, your boy Drizzy hits the cover of Fader Magazine! Drake has been blowing up the airwaves with a fury and it's only deserving that he start putting his mark on print. Scheduled to be released on August 18th, however rumor has it that Toronto will get it a week early. If you don't have the coin to cop this mag, check the Fader website in about 2 weeks and they promised to have a pdf download and audio clips from the interview. Now I know 'Tuesday's Tune' has passed, but it's only fitting that I post Drake's latest single, 'The Winner', to commemorate his magazine debut.

Houstatlantavegas by Drake

I've always loved the song 'Houstatlantavegas' by Drake, but not until recently did I realize how DEEP the song actually is. Coming from a guy who did his 4th year thesis on Female Sex Trafficking, to hear a song about the exploitation of women is a fresh change from all the 'Turn My Swag On', 'Booty Dew' and 'Hotel Room' garbage on the radio now. Drizzy just rips the song by lyrically painting you the unfortunate picture of the stripper profession. My favorite line has to be "throw your ones up in the air for her... cause the ones you throw might get her out of -- houstatlantavegas" Ironic huh? For those that haven't heard it, peep the link above. I also found a remix by JoJo which is pretty dope and expands the theme even further. Enjoy!
